CartoPac was founded in 1998 by Glenn Vlass, a geologist, and Scott Crouch, an electrical engineer, as MapTrails, a company whose objective it was to provide interactive topographical maps to aid those seeking outdoor adventure. From that beginning, Mr. Vlass and Mr. Crouch leveraged their GPS and maps experience to identify numerous unaddressed GIS asset management needs and trends over the next decade. CartoPac has addressed these unmet needs through an evolving set of innovative company products and solutions.
Today CartoPac has become a full GIS enterprise solution provider and expert in the Oil & Gas industry. Our mission is to partner with our clients to deliver full support for GIS enterprise solutions from high quality data capture in the field to enterprise wide GIS management of the company's critical field assets. CartoPac is headquartered in Fort Collins, Colorado with branch offices in Salt Lake City, Utah, Steamboat Springs, Colorado and Vienna, Austria.
